This paper recommends capacity building options for the small-scale fisheries sector in Africa, informed by an AFRACA and FAO survey on financial and insurance services. It assesses existing capacity building interventions at both demand and supply sides, noting low supply-side activity due to limited credit provision. The report proposes strategic capacity building options for Financial Service Providers (FSPs) to tailor appropriate financial and insurance services.
