This concept note proposes the establishment of a national Agricultural Risk-Sharing Mechanism Platform in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to enhance agricultural and rural finance. It addresses the significant barriers to finance in DRC's agriculture sector and suggests a model inspired by Nigeria's GIRSAL, with support from the African Development Bank and technical facilitation by AFRACA, to de-risk lending and scale up financial inclusion.
