This case study examines the initiatives of Cooperative and Rural Development Bank (CRDB BANK) Plc in Tanzania concerning small-scale fisheries (SSF) financing. It highlights the sector's socio-economic importance in Tanzania and CRDB Bank's engagement, including its experience with a revolving fund project and current agribusiness portfolio for fisheries and aquaculture. The study also discusses the bank's innovative use of agency banking to extend services to unbanked segments.
