AFRACA Hosts 8th World Congress on Rural and Agricultural Finance in Mombasa

The opening session on 29 October brought welcome remarks from Thomas T. Essel, Secretary General of AFRACA, followed by opening remarks from AFRACA Chairman Dieudonne Fikiri Alimasi, First Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Congo. Sara Mbago-Bhunu, IFAD Regional Director for East and Southern Africa, delivered a statement, before a keynote address by Dr. Kamau Thugge, Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, and the official opening by Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development.
