Focusing on the oyster value chain in Senegal, particularly in mangrove regions, an intervention strategy is presented to improve access to financial and insurance services for artisanal harvesters and processors. It analyzes constraints such as informality, climate vulnerabilities, and the absence of tailored credit products, while evaluating supply and demand among financial service providers and value chain actors. The proposed approach details an intervention mechanism coordinated through public funds and decentralized financial systems, combined with financial education, digitalization, and policy adjustments.
