An analysis of financial and insurance service providers catering to the oyster value chain in Senegal is presented alongside an overview of the sector's organization and macroeconomic context during the COVID-19 pandemic. The legal and regulatory frameworks governing banks, microfinance institutions, insurance companies, and electronic money issuers are examined together with government financing mechanisms and donor initiatives. Key constraints and opportunities affecting access to credit and insurance for value chain actors, predominantly women working in harvesting and processing, are also identified.
