Rapport 2 Evaluation du marché de la demande de services financiers et d'assurance FR 13-04-22

Document Abstract

Produced under the FISH4ACP programme, this assessment analyzes the supply and demand for financial and insurance services across the oyster value chain in Senegal. It describes the primary stages of the sector, highlighting the predominant role of women in oyster harvesting and processing, as well as marketing channels across Saint-Louis, Sine Saloum, Petite Côte, and Ziguinchor. Based on surveys and stakeholder interviews with producers, microfinance institutions, banks, and insurers, it details existing financing practices, digital financial services usage, and the constraints limiting access to credit and insurance.
