A market study examines the demand for and supply of financial and insurance services among actors across the farmed tilapia value chain in Côte d'Ivoire. It characterizes the sociodemographic profiles, operating costs, revenues, and financing needs of producers, traders, processors, and professional organizations, highlighting their low rate of access to formal banking and insurance mechanisms. In addition, it outlines key constraints limiting financial integration, including the predominance of informal practices, lack of collateral, and a shortage of financial products tailored to aquaculture activities.
