Document Abstract

Prepared under the FISH4ACP initiative, this report maps and assesses financial and insurance service providers in Côte d'Ivoire with a focus on the farmed tilapia value chain. It reviews public institutions, commercial banks, microfinance institutions, insurance companies, and mobile money services, detailing their geographic distribution, offerings, and refinancing mechanisms. Additionally, it presents SWOT analyses highlighting the strengths, weaknesses, and operational hurdles associated with extending credit, banking solutions, and risk coverage to aquaculture actors.
