Note Conceptuelle - Visite d'Etude au Ghana Avril 2025

Document Abstract

An international study visit organized by AFRACA from 7 to 11 April 2025 in Accra, Ghana, focuses on the Ghana Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (GIRSAL) as a model for de-risking agricultural finance. Participants from commercial banks, microfinance institutions, central banks, and government agencies will explore credit guarantee management, risk schemes, fund capitalization, and impact evaluation. Delivered in English and French, the experiential program aims to build institutional capacity to better leverage risk-sharing mechanisms to stimulate agricultural lending demand.
